Urgent & Emergency Care
Sometimes pets need care on an urgent or even emergency basis. It is our goal to offer same-day appointments for these pets during regular business hours.
We offer expert supportive care with the ability to run blood tests on the spot, take radiographs on site, and hospitalization with IV catheterization, heart monitoring, pain management, and much more.
Our experienced veterinary staff is trained and prepared to immediately administer the ABC’s of basic life support:
A. Airway
B. Breathing
C. Circulation/Cardiac compressions
Local Referral Services
We also work closely with our local referral services, which include these conveniently located veterinary emergency centers in Mt. Pleasant, Summerville and West Ashley. These centers are best for the most critical patients as well as times that we are closed.
Remember, pets in pain may not realize you are trying to help them and therefore may try to bite you. Keep away from the head area or wrap the neck/head in a towel, preserving the airway, to protect you both. Try to contact us before your arrival and be prepared to answer a few brief questions to better help us assist you when you arrive.
