Radiology (utilizes x-rays) and Ultrasonography (utilizes sound waves) are provided by Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital as the standard of care to aid in the diagnosis of diseases or to evaluate an injury. These imaging procedures are used when an in-depth analysis of internal structures is required. Additionally, they may be used singly or in conjunction when trying to diagnosis a condition in your pet.
Rarely do these imaging procedures require sedation as they are non-invasive and painless.
For your convenience and ours, we offer two options to our patients undergoing imaging procedures. You may choose to drop off your pet or wait while we take, process, and interpret the images.
